Tucano's May 20, 2011

Jess gave us this great idea to sign up and eat here for your birthday.  So Ben got one for my birthday and one for his.  They said that you could use it the month before or the month after as well, but the catch was that it was a buy one get one free, danget.  We had both coupons on the table to give to our server.  Shoot, it was too good to be true.  Oh well, it was seriously an amazing meal and so worth the money, definitely.  It was at the Gateway which is right by Ben's work, so it's so nice to have that free parking pass he has so we don't have to worry about parking.  It was a lot of fun to walk around the Gateway after wards.  All of that meat was so amazing. Their salad bar was equally as good.  I think Ben's favorite thing though was the grilled pineapple.  It's fun doing all of these dates with my honey!!!

The Art City Ball May 14 2011

This was so much fun!!!!  Originally Melanie and Elliot had invited us to go to a ReAL Soccer game with them because they had free tickets.  I felt so bad that we had to change plans with them.  I hate changing plans in general with people because I like to feel like my friends and family can always depend on me.  But Ben really felt like we should do this ball with his family.  Of course I wanted to go too but I just thought it was too expensive since we've been really trying to budget lately and save for a second vehicle  (a honda odyssey van).   But we really wanted to be there for Katie because she was chosen as the top 12 out of 72 girls to become the Art City Museum royalty in Springville.
So Melanie and I started looking at all of our old dresses down in the closet in the game room.  This dress was a dress that Melanie wore in High School to one of the dances.  So I'm glad I fit into it.  My mom used the shawl she wore and put sleeves and a back on it for me.  My mom is such an awesome seamstress.  When I bought the flower I knew my outfit was complete.  Of course the gloves made it very elegant as well

Thai Restaurant March 2011

Ben took this awesome picture on his new iphone that he absolutely can not live without.  He think he loves that thing more than me....hmmm.  Melanie had Ben for the Christmas exchange and so found a great deal on CityDeals or Groupon can't remember, for this great Thai restaurant.  Our favorite things to order are coconut milk soup, Ben loves the curry chicken,  we both LOVE the Tom Gum Kai.  Of course we have to have a lot of peanut sauce.  Thanks Melanie.  Mom and Dad baby-sat that night.  :)

Pirates of the Carabiner April 29,2011

There is a guy in our ward named Ryan Parker (his wife is our Primary pianist) who was in this play.  We wanted to support him and Ben and I are always thinking of fun things to do for our dates we want to continually go on.  Just by knowing him we got in for half price. It was originally $16 which we think is way overpriced so we were glad we got in for $8.  It was pretty funny.  It was of course silly and cheesy at times but that's what these are because it's a spoof of the real movie.  Catherine Collin (8th grade) whose a YW in our ward and her dad is in the bishopric with Ben,  she baby-sat the kids.  Good times

It was Ben's idea to dress up as a pirate for the play :)
